Dromaeosaurus is a fast, agile and feathered predatory dromaeosaur dinosaur. Dromaeosaurus means “fast lizard”.
Dromaeosaurus’s killing weapon is a sickle shaped claw that is held upwards when walking or running but slashes downwards when gripping and attacking the prey. Its hunting style is jump on prey’s back, grip with their hand claws and slash with its sickle-claw. It hunts in packs and attacks creatures that are as twice big as themselves. They have excellent smartness. Dromaeosaurus has very good vision, hearing and sense of smell for good hunting.
Dromaeosaurus’s feathery fluff kept it warm and agile. It lived in Alberta, Wyoming and Montana during the late Cretaceous period. Dromaeosaurus and its relatives are also called raptors. Other examples of raptors are: Troodon, Buitreraptor, Borogovia, Velociraptor, Saurornithoides, Utahraptor, Dakotaraptor, Unenlagia and Saurornitholestes.
