Crocs and Gators are often confused with the other animal. Here are some differences between Crocs and Gators:
- Crocs have a long V-shaped snout, while Gators have wide U-shaped snouts
- Crocs prefer warmer, saltier waters, while Gators like freshwater
- Crocs are bigger, while Gators are generally smaller
- Crocs are olive-green to brown, while Gators are bluish-gray
- Crocs like to swim more and are very fast underwater, while Gators, although suited to water, can spend more time on dry land and can go longer on the Crocodile family’s special “high walk”.
