GINO DINOS: Supersaurus

Everybody’s heard of Superman, but nobody’s heard οf Supersaurus. Supersaurus was the largest dinosaur on earth to live, reaching up to a 120 feet long from nose to tail! In fact, Supersaurus would have been an earthshaker – you could feel its footsteps from miles away. Supersaurus was a herd animal too, which would have amplified the effect and made you dizzy with the shaking and tumbling. Not even a Torvosaurus, the largest predator of its time, would have dared to attack a Supersaurus.

So, these dinos definitely deserve their name. Supersaurus could rear up on its two legs, balancing on its long tail like a wierd cross between a lizard and a kangaroo. This would have been used to intimidate would-be predators (although it didn’t have many of those). If that didn’t work, the last defense would be a speedy whip of the powerful and long tail would break the jaw or leg of an unsuspecting predator and kill it, even.

Well, on that cheerful note, I am leaving you today!
